Should I adjust parameter file variables?

While one is provided access to the model parameters, one is encouraged to use the default parameter values because they have been derived from documented research sources. Editing modeling parameters should be based only on research pertaining to local data sources and may result in unpredictable results. This being said, one is encouraged to make the adjustments that are needed in order to test scenarios. Minor changes to the parameter files are best and be sure to consult section 7 of the updated user’s guide to ensure that the appropriate parameter variables are being adjusted.
